Inside the Thurston County Most Wanted Program
Thurston County runs no most-wanted program that the public can browse. The Sheriff, the county, and the Judicial Branch publish no roster of wanted individuals, and no names, photographs, or mugshots belong here. The Sheriff's office handles patrol, investigations, communications, the jail, and sex-offender registration, so a most-wanted feature would live with them. If the county ever adds one, the official Sheriff page is where it would appear.
How Thurston County Lists Work
A most-wanted list is a curated public-safety pick, not the full set of active warrants. Someone can hold an outstanding warrant yet never appear on any list. Thurston County also publishes no local active-warrant list. So skip unofficial pages entirely and ask the issuing court about a warrant's status.
Editorial rule: Official lists should be described and linked, never copied into a private reference page. No Thurston roster is reproduced here.
Check the date, agency, jurisdiction, and update practice behind any listing. Without those details, a Thurston County name match can be flat wrong.
Reporting a Thurston County Tip Safely
Thurston County has no Crime Stoppers line and no most-wanted tip form. Facing an immediate threat? Call 911. For a nonemergency question, use the Sheriff contact on the county site. Never approach someone over an online claim, and never send personal data to an unverified form.
Federal matters go through the federal agency's own channel. Tribal matters go to Tribal Police or Tribal Court, not any Thurston County or state list.
Most Wanted and Active Warrants
An active warrant is a court order still in force. A most-wanted label is just what an agency chooses to highlight, and one does not prove the other. Nebraska JUSTICE may show a case event, but it is not a warrant registry and it lags behind real time. Thurston County status comes from the court, not from a label.
| Question | Most-wanted list | Active warrant record |
|---|---|---|
| Scope | Curated public-safety subset | Court order tied to a case |
| Source | Publishing agency | Issuing court or authorized agency |
| Status | May lag or remain posted | Confirm with the court |
| Best use | Official tip information | Own-status and resolution routing |
Need the full status route? Use the Thurston County active warrant search guidance and call the issuing court.
Federal Fugitive Information Is Separate
The U.S. Marshals District of Nebraska publishes federal fugitive-task-force material, and the U.S. Marshals District of Nebraska page carries it. None of that is a Thurston County Sheriff list. Federal dockets also sit in PACER, which applies its own fee rules and document limits.
Federal Dockets and County Status
PACER is a federal docket system, not a Thurston County warrant search. It can show federal filings, for a fee under federal rules. A hit there says nothing about a Nebraska state warrant. Ask which government filed the case first.

The PACER pricing page explains a separate record-access system.
Tribal Lists and State Records
Winnebago Tribal Police and Winnebago Tribal Court are separate jurisdictions with their own contacts: dispatch at 402-878-2245, Tribal Court at 402-878-2570. A state case in Winnebago may still belong to Thurston County Court or District Court. Tribal matters, though, should not be assumed to show in Nebraska JUSTICE. Ask first whether the case is tribal, state, federal, or filed elsewhere; that single question keeps a list search from turning into a false answer.
If You Believe You Are Listed
Never confront an agency or a person over an unverified post. If a court may have issued a warrant in your case, call the issuing clerk and an attorney. Thurston County Court sits at 106 S 5th Street, Pender, at 402-385-3136. The District Court Clerk is at 402-385-3318. Ask what the court can confirm and what appearance or recall process applies.
Urgent: Courts do not demand immediate payment by phone, text, or email. Verify through an official court or Sheriff number.
Public Limits on Most Wanted Records
The Nebraska Public Records Act, section 84-712, generally supports inspection and copies, though juvenile records, sealed matters, and pre-execution search-warrant material may be restricted. A request can target a dated, non-exempt agency record. It cannot conjure a roster nobody publishes. The county public-records page covers focused requests. Just don't ask Thurston County to confirm a rumor or produce a list it does not keep.
Why No Local Roster Is Shown
No Thurston County office publishes most-wanted names, photos, a tip line, a roundup, an active count, or a current list. There is no dated warrant news or amnesty event either. Generic statewide names would not fill that gap honestly. Direct verification with the court and the Sheriff remains the safe route.
